We have a fairly open admissions policy at Levicorpus. All you have to do is show us that you can follow directions well enough to find and fill out the application and answer the questions in such a way to demonstrate that you have some basic English skills. If you're an experienced roleplayer, we'll be excited to have you, but we're newbie friendly too. Mainly we're looking for people who can commit to posting at least once a week and enjoy the Harry Potter universe.

Step 1: Read the Levicorpus Rules and History

It will give you a sense of the game, and where and how you'd like to fit into it.

Step 2: Choose a Character

Look in the Levicorpus User Info to see what characters are taken. If a character is not taken and not dead (ghosts being the obvious exception) at the end of Half Blood Prince, they are available for play. We accept original characters, but the Mod may ask you to modify them to suit our game.

Step 3: Apply

You can find a link to the Application Post in Levicorpus User Info or just click here.

Remember your application also acts as your writing sample, so represent yourself well.

Step 4: Create a Journal for Your Character

Once you've been approved, you need to create a journal for the character you're playing. Respond with this journal to the Mod in the application post. And don't forget to join the community with that journal, so the Mod can approve you.

Step 5: Join the OOC Community and Introduce Yourself

Liberacorpus is our out of character community. This is where you get all your mod announcements and can have discussions with the other players. So it's important to join. (note: We have a members directory, but it's only available through e-mail or IM...trying to fight off spammers.)

Step 6: Set Up Your Friends List

Be sure to add our Daily Prophet/other periodicals journal yourhoroscope to your friends list. This journal is open to all players to post articles. If you have an idea for an article contact a Moderator for the password.

Who and how many other players you add is up to you. You will be able to catch more of the plot if you add everyone, but some people like the realism of only adding a select few. The friends page on the Levicorpus community should be up to date and all inclusive.

Step 7: Post!!

Whether you start a new thread or join an existing one, get yourself into the game. That's why you applied in the first place, right? If you have trouble figuring out where would be a good spot to bring your character in, ask a Mod for help. We'll help you get something set up.
