Minerva waited behind her desk for Tonks to show up. It seemed like all she had been doing lately was sitting behind her desk reprimanding people. It's true that this job wasn't easy, and she didn't know how Albus handled it all of those years. She still loved her job, but in a different way.

She heard the stone stair way open up to let Tonks up to the office, then shortly after she heard a knock on the door.

"Come in," she said, sitting up a little straighter.

“You wanted to see me Minerva?” Tonks said coming into the room, sitting lazily in the chair across from Minerva. Tonks draped one leg over the arm of the seat.

"Will you please sit up."  Minerva watched as Tonks dragged herself to a sitting position. "Here's your pay."  Minerva pushed a bag of coins across the desk to Dora.

"Thanks." Tonks picked up the small purple bag and began to walk out. "But I don't see what all the fuss...hey. This feels lighter than usual."  Tonks turned around and walked back to Minerva's desk.

"It feels lighter, because it is." Minerva turned back to the pile of paper work on her desk. "I took a deduction out for destruction of school property."

"Destruction of school property? Mcgoogly what are you talking about?" Tonks slumped back in the chair, not caring that one leg was back over the arm.

Minerva raised an eyebrow at both Dora slumping back in the chair, and at her calling her "McGoogly".

"McGoogly?" Minerva said in a questioned toned.

"Yea, sorry. That's what Charlie and I used to call you when you'd give too much homework." Tonks thought fondly for a moment about those days with Charlie. "But that's not the point. What property did I destroy?"

"I believe your good friend Charlie had something to do with it."  Minerva let Tonks think about this for a second. "Those Beater Bats that just so happen to break themselves." She watched Tonks’ face fall.

"Your deducting my pay because I broke a few bats instead of a few student's faces?" Tonks was in total disbelief. "Minerva, that was like 10 years ago! And if you want to get into specifics, it was all his idea! Send him the bill."

"But he didn't do the actual breaking did he?" She could tell that Tonks was giving up. Tonks muttered something along the lines of "Alright, alright you win", and began to walk out.

"Cocktails at ten?" Minerva said without even looking up from her paper work.

"Make it 10:15, I've got papers to grade." Tonks laughed a little and headed out of Minerva's office to go teach her sixth years.
