After Ron had given the letter he had received from Neville to his father, Ron quickly wrote a reply and sent Pig out. Because it was still quite early, no one, save his mother and father, were up. Walking downstairs, he sat at the kitchen table where his mother put a bowl of oatmeal in front of him.

"Thanks Mum," he said, shoving a spoonful into his mouth. Finishing the bowl, he stuck in the sink. Turning to his mother he said, "Once they're all up, tell them I'm outside." With a half-nod from his mother, he grabbed a blanket, setting it up under the tree on the far side of the garden. Opening his History of Quidditch book and waited for the other three to get up. Because after Neville's letter, he had plenty to tell them.

"Oh, Ron dear, there you are!" Molly panted as she hurried up to her youngest son. "I thought maybe you'd gone too. Have you seen Bill or Charlie?"

"No. I haven't gone anywhere. I never go anywhere," he mumbled. And no, Mum, I haven't. Any reason you're looking for them?" he asked.

"Nonsense, you've traveled twice as much as I did at your age," Molly said dismissively, then pursed her lips in a worried way.

"Well, I went in to ask Bill if he approved of the inviations that Fleur had picked out. I really think he ought to have a chance to approve them. But I couldn't find him in bed, and I didn't see him come through the kitchen. So I went to ask Charlie were he had gone, but Charlie wasn't in his room either. He did make his bed though, always a neat boy. But where could they be?"

"Yeah, well. Times have changed Mum. And I'm bored. As for Bill and Charlie, maybe they went to one of their flats. Bill doesn't live too far away. Perhaps they went off to do bachelor things." Ron said, watching his mom.

"Bored? I wish I had time to be bored," said Molly. "Well, maybe your right about Bill and Charlie. I'll stick my head in the fireplace if they don't pop up soon. Would hate to waste the Floo powder if they're on their way back." She blinked and looked at either side of Ron as though expecting more people. "Where are Harry and Hermione? Not up yet?"

"They're fine Mum. Don't worry about them." Looking behind him, Ron turned back to his mom. "I have no idea. Probably still asleep. It's weird when I'm the first one up, right?"

"Quite suspicious. What has you up so early, Ron?" Molly smiled at her son.

"Eh. Couldn't sleep, I suppose. I don't know why, but it seems that I can't sleep for extended periods of time as of late."

"Poor dear," Molly said, enfolding Ron in a hug. "Do you want me to whip you up a light sleeping draught?"

Ron hugged his mother before pushing her lightly away.

"Mum! I'm fine. I can handle only a few hours of sleep. It's nothing drastic."

"Well, I'll make one anyway," she said. "Just in case. Can't have you all yawning and eyes bloodshot at the wedding. Oh, well, perhaps I ought to tell the others breakfast is ready. Surely, they've gotten their sleep by now."

"You don't have to do that, Mum. I don't need it. Really. I don't. I'm fine," he said, reassuring her. "Maybe you should. I'm sure they're all quite rested by now."

Molly walked back into the house and up the stairs. She rapped gently on the door to Ron's room. "Harry dear, are you up?"

She didn't hear anything, so she slowly pushed the door open. "Harry?" she said lightly. She stepped over to touch the lump under the covers where his shoulder should be.  Molly Weasley had been subjected to the pillow trick enough times, she knew by touch what she would find, but she threw back the covers anyway, hoping for a note or some further explanation. Not finding any, she ran back down the stairs.

"RON!" she shouted. "Harry's gone!"

Ron ran up the stairs, two at a time. Screeching to a halt outside of his door, Ron walked into the room, trying to catch his breath.

"What are you talking about Mum? He was here last night. I mean, I didn't notice whether he was in bed or not when I came down this morning, but I think that's because I assumed he obviously was." Looking at the top of the dresser, Ron sighed.

"Hedwig is gone, too. But where would he have run off to without telling any of us? Me, at least. I am his bloody best friend."

"Maybe he's with Bill and Charlie," she said hopefully, though her voice was tight with anxiety she gripped Ron's arm to steady herself. "You go wake up Ginny and Hermione. I'll try the fireplace."

"Mum. Calm down. He's fine. Perhaps he is with Bill and Charlie. But it's not like he hasn't been on his own before. Yeah, I wish he would have said something, but I have no doubt that he's fine. Wherever he is." As he walked out of the room, he turned back around to his mother who was sitting on the bed, presumably trying to get herself to breathe in a proper manner.  "Yeah, I'll go wake them. But, Mum, everything is going to be alright."

Molly nodded, not completely convinced, but it was better to not think about the worst. She drew herself up again and headed down stairs to the fireplace. She started a fire with her wand, threw a bit of Floo powder into it, and stuck her head into it.
