Ron, getting sick of being stuck in the attic, swung his legs off of the bed and walked to the bedroom door. Opening it, he took in a deep breath of what smelled like cinnamon. So much for only thinking about making that pudding, Hermione, Ron thought to himself. Walking quietly down the stairs, he noticed that not many seemed to be home at the present time. Which was good because he didn't need his mother yelling at him about how he should be in bed until he was completely well. He was sick of staying in bed.

Standing at the bottom of the stairs, he almost laughed at how Hermione was bustling around the kitchen. Making the pudding as he figured her mother did. The Muggle way. Her bushy hair seemed to be even more bushy than usual, some strands plastered to her forehead from sweat.

Looking to the table, he noticed Ginny immersed in some random magazine that was lying on the table amond Fleur's massive collection of wedding magazines. Sitting across from her, he grabbed on, opening it to a random page. "Do you girls really plan these things from the time you're five?" he asked, a smirk forming on his face.

"Oh, don't be stupid Ron," she replied with a grin, "3 at the latest. Once your retinas are fully formed, the wedding plans begin." She continued to thumb through the magazine, making a mental note of a particularly nice bridesmaids dress.

Hermione grinned. 'Closer to ten actually. I have mine all planned out. The dress, the music, the cake, the flowers, everything.' She slid in next to Ginny as she placed the cinammony pudding in front of Ron, and pulled a bowl towards herself and Ginny.

Shaking his head, Ron smiled. "How can you know all of that kind of stuff at 10? Tastes change. The music you liked then might be different from the music you like now. What if you want a chocolate cake and the person you're marrying hates chocolate? Then what? You tell him you've had this planned for decades, so, tough luck? You girls are crazy."

Grabbing the bowl, Ron took a spoonful, grinning. "Wow, Hermione. I didn't know you could cook."

Hermione smiled. 'If he hates chocolate, why do you think he gets his own cake?' She said with a significant look at Ginny who she was positive understood that weddings more often than not were for the bride. 'Besides, wouldn't a guy prefer someone who knows what she wants and only has to work towards making tweaks to the times as opposed to an idea-hopping Bridezilla?' Hermione asked as if it made more sense.

"You are bloody mad. Seriously. Bloody mad." Ron walked to the sink and filled a cup with water. Taking a sip, he sat back down at the table. "Why are there so many different dress and robe designs? Thank Merlin that men don't have to decide from this huge a variety. This is ridiculous," he said, flipping through one of the magazines.

"And we all think the same of you, so think how mad YOU must be," she replied with a falsely solemn nod, flipping to the next page, "Oh, because women look differently in different styles. Like, this dress," she started, pointing at a strappy, slinky, satin cream dress, "Might look great on me, but not as good on Hermione because she's a different shape, where as this one," she pointed to another dress with a v-neck and a slightly broader skirt, "would like good on Hermione, and silly on me. You get it? Guys are lucky that all suits are basically the same."

"That would look good on Hermione," he said with devilish grin crossing his face. Looking back up at his sister, he smiled. "Yeah, yeah. I get it. I still think it's incredibly ridiculous that you lot go around planning this kind of stuff for ages."

"You just like it because it's lower cut than the other ones," Ginny replied, looking at her brother from the corners of her eyes and smirking, "Well, women figure it's the last big, important even in their life before they have to share important events with their families, so they have a huge wedding and get to be the center of attention for the last time in their lives before they go off and have spoiled-rotten little children."

"Not true! It's just...it would look nice on her." Leaning back, Ron looked at his sister. "Ok. I understand that. I guess. But we all know that in this family, you'll make everything an important event about yourself," he said, grinning.

"Okay, okay, I was joking, it would like very nice on her," Ginny grinned, stifling a laugh, "It makes its own sort of sense. But, honestly, I can't help it if the world revolves around me, Ron. I can't change the cosmic order," she said with a shrug.

"You are repulsive. I'd like to see what you do when there's another girl in this family to fawn over. I hope Bill and Fleur have little girls. Lots of little girls. So you can come back down to the real world," he said, rolling his eyes.

"I was joking," she replied, pretending to look affronted, "But we all know that other little girls just couldn't compete with the original. And besides, Bill says they won't be having kids at least until everything settles down, so my status is safe for now."

Ron smiled. "I was, too. You know that we all love you most of the time. Which is the problem, I think." Ron looked out of the kitchen window. With it being such a beautiful day, no one would have guessed that the world was constantly on the brink of disaster. "Probably a good thing. I don't think this would be a fabulous time to bring children into the world. Merlin knows we could all use a bit more happiness, though. The wedding should suffice for now, I guess. Although, it feels like these days are dragging on forever."

Ginny chuckled, shaking her head softly, "I know, I'm just too loveable for my own good." Ginny followed her brothers gaze, which went out the window to survey the world outside the burrow, which looked absolutely lovely that day, "It does, which is the sad part. It seems like we should be enjoying these days more, getting more out of our summer, but I almost wish it was closer to the end because of the wedding."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," he said, smirking. "Why are we all stuck in the house right now? It's beautiful outside. If Mum doesn't want us to go to Diagon Alley, we could, at the very least, go outside. Breath some fresh air. Throw together a Quidditch game. Something other than sitting in here, flipping through these," he said, motioning towards the vast array of magazine splayed across the table.

Ginny chuckled and grinned at her brother, "Apparently, it's because we're all completely mad. My vote would be for the Quidditch game, without question. But you're right, it really would beat the living daylights out of sitting hear thumbing through wedding magazines for another moment. I think the next time I want to see a wedding dress is for my own wedding. Before then, dresses can wait."
