After apparating
to his lab, Severus stalked into his chambers and changed out of his robe and
mask.
He sighed and sat down on his bed. I guess I should just go to bed... I'm
not really in the mood to stay up another four hours brewing some complicated
masterpiece he thought after plopping his face down into his hands.
He changed into his night robes, pulled down the covers, and snuggled up
inside. This bed was nothing compared to what Hogwarts had offered him. Trying
to forget what blankets he actually had (scratchy grey wool) he imagined they
were the ones from Hogwarts, green velvet and silver sheets. A slight smirk on
his face, and then a frown as his thoughts drifted into life’s current
complications.
Bellatrix looked
around the headquarters, eager to see all it had to offer. She knew Wormtail
was down in the dungeons, stealing her thunder by torturing the Muggle child
she had brought in a week ago. Damn Wormtail! she thought to herself as she
wandered through the hallway connecting to the kitchen. He hated her, and this
was just another way of getting her angry. She reached for a door right at the
end of the hallway, and found it locked.
"This should be fun" Bellatrix whispered to herself as she magically
unlocked the door...
Severus felt the
wards on his room break, and the door creak open. He jumped up, grabing for his
wand. He'd always been a light sleeper. Practically a requirement when one is a
double agent.
"Lumos" He shouted. Lighting up the bedroom. He squinted a moment
while his eyes adjusted to the light.
"Bella...?" He asked.
Bella opened the
door quietly, but still it creaked. She knew this room must be important, it was
locked and she had just broken the wards. The room lit up and Bella saw what
was in this room.
"Snape! You sleep in here?" She looked shocked, and froze to the
spot.
"Obviously."
he said, rubbing his eyes. "What're you doing down here?"
While he spoke, he lit the candle by his bedside, and put away his wand.
"I, I was
just exploring, and decided to look in here. Found nothing of great ...you
sleep in those?" She pointed to his green and silver boxers, and began to
laugh.
Severus glared
at Bella. He hadn't planned on being a source of amusment for her. Besides, he
always slept in them. It's not like people generally saw him when he was ready
for bed.
"I'm glad you find the situation humorous. Is there anything I can do for
you, or would you kindly be on your way?"
Bellatrix tried
to fix the image of Snape in his boxers firmly in her mind, and replied cooly,
"No, I better be going now. Don't want to pernamently have that image
stuck in my mind." She walked out, closing the door behind her and sniggering.
As she walked down the hall, she thought to herself. Boy is Fenrir going to laugh when he sees this memory!
Snape was
tempted to use Legilimens on her... but he knew Voldemort wouldn't look kindly
upon Snape going through fellow Death Eaters minds.
He then contemplated a memory charm, but knew that also would not win him good
favor.
Snape waited a few moments for her to come back, but after about 5 minutes,
knew that it was safe to go back to bed.
Bella ran down
the hall, through the kitchen and to her room. She grabbed her pensieve and
carried it as fast as she could to the main lounge. Looking around, she saw
Fenrir, Rodolphus, Draco, Crabbe, Goyle and ..Wormtail. She caught her breath
and said, in a rather loud voice, "Hey, anyone want to see a hilarious
memory?" She put her wand to her temple, and thought as hard as she could
about what just happened. The silver memory came out, and she placed it in the
pensieve. Everyone had gathered around,as the pensieve was big enough for all
of them to see. They dipped their heads in the pensieve and began to see what
had just happened...
As Fenrir dipped
his head into the pensieve Draco slipped out. "Important" he might
like to see but "funny" he could do without. Besides anywhere Fenrir
was was somewhere he didn't want to be. He headed outside and wandered towards
the stone fence.

Severus heard a
great deal of laughter coming from the Main Hall, and figured he'd best check it
out. Last thing he needed tonight was to find a bunch of aurors in the house
throwing laughing hexes at everyone.
He got up, and dressed, and left his chambers trying to follow the commotion.
Once Bella had
finished with her pensieve, she looked around for her nephew. He wasn't in the
chambers, or the kitchen, or the hall. She began to worry, worrying wasn't her
style. "Where is Narcissa when you need her?" Bella muttered to
herself as she looked through the manor. She saw a figure coming out of a somewhat
familiar room, and she ran towards it. "Hey, you!" She grabbed his
arm and found Snape glaring at her.
"What's all
the commotion about?" Snape hissed.
"Why do you have a pensive!?" He grabbed his wand and pointed it at
her throat. He used his other hand to shove her against the wall.
"You better not have been sharing a certain memory that was created only
an hour ago."
Bella looked at
Snape, and felt glad that she had put the memory in her room. "Why no
Snape, I just took this to the lounge, you see, it needs some fixing." She
pointed to a small crack in the left handle, and began to speak again.
"Now, onto
other things, where's Draco?" She smiled secretly to herself and began to
feel good about the way things were going.
Severus eyed her
for a few more moments. Then finally loosened his grip on her, and lowered his
wand some.
"I wouldn't know where Draco is. He's your nephew." he
growled.
“Yes, well your
his Mentor, you're meant to know where he is as well! Well, do you mind
helping me look for him?”
Severus rolled
his eyes and let out an exasperated sigh. "I don't know if he's even back
from Knocturn Alley yet."
"Knockturn
Alley! You sent him to KNOCKTURN ALLEY!" Bella was fuming, every man
and his owl knew that Knockturn Alley was full to the brim with Aurors.
"I'm going to Knockturn Alley to find him, and so are you." She
grabbed his arm, and pulled him to the disguise room.
"Oh do calm
down, Bella. There are no Aurors there at the present time. Besides, I didn't
send him there." He hissed, while trying desperately to pull his arm out
of her grasp.
"You're
coming with me anyway." She pulled him into the room, and instantly she
changed into a small, dirty blonde-haired, blue eyed teenager. He changed also,
into a teenage boy with red hair and brown eyes. Bella looked at him, and
sniggered, "You look like a Weasley crossed with a Granger." She
tightened her grip on his arm and apparated to the back room of Borgin and
Burkes.

Draco took a deep
breath of the slightly muggy night air and coughed.
"Bit of ginger tea's good for that," a voice said. Draco started and
looked up to see the local grocer girl walking casually towards the fence.
"What are you doing here?" he demanded, attempting to keep his voice
even at the same time.
The girl shrugged. She was about Draco's age, maybe a couple years older, a few
inches shorter. Her blonde hair was a slighty darker shade than his and had
been loosed from its regular ponytail. "I always wanted to see the old
Riddle House up close," she said. "Thought you might give me a
tour."
Draco scowled at her and started to say a dozen things before rethinking them.
"Not tonight, gramps has business friends over."
"Oh, I see," the girl said not looking too dissapointed. "Want
to walk with me then?"
Draco felt slightly horrified but decided anything to get her away from the
house. "Yeah, fine, let's go to the pub."
Draco and the
grocer girl took seats at the short booth in the Hanged Man. It was still too
early for the pub to be as empty as Draco would have liked, and nearly everyone
was sneaking glances, if not outright staring at them.
Draco grunted in response to the chorus of, "'lo Drake! 'lo Lacy!"s
and winced because he knew they're arriving together would be all over Little
Hangleton by morning. He might find it cause for worry if any of the other
Death Eaters ever talked to the town Muggles, but as he was the only one, Draco
figured he was fairly safe on that front.
"So, Drake," the girl said and Draco winced again. "What brought
you to live with your grandfather?"
Draco half lost track of the elaborate story he told her. After he had
finished, she launched into her own rather bland childhood. It had something to
do with being orphaned and moving from guardian to guardian until finally
coming to live with her uncle...and somewhere in there was kidnapping, an evil
Count, and an acupuncturist...
"Are you tired?" the girl asked.
Draco awoke with a start. His fingers felt oddly cool and wet, and he realized
they had slipped into his chocolate milk. He pulled them out and wiped them
off. "Long day," he said.
"Apparently," the girl said with a laugh. "Come on, I'll walk
you home."
"No," Draco said with a little more emphasis than he had intended.
"I'll walk you home," he finished awkwardly. Lacy had no objections
to this and walked out of the Hanged Man with her chin held high. Draco groaned
silently but managed a wane smile when she looked his way.
The mugginess of the night had given way, and a clear sky of bright stars
showed through. It woke Draco up enough for him to be uncomfortable. Lacy
seemed to gravitate towards him, no matter how hard he tried to subtly put a
few body widths between them.
They reached the gate of the lane that led to the cottage she and her uncle
inhabited. "Well, goodnight then," Draco said.
"Goodnight, Drake," she said and somehow managed to step in a little
closer.
Draco pulled back about an inch shy of a kiss and stumbled a bit over his feet
as he blurted, "I better get going."
Lacy grinned at him. "See you later," she said, looking far too
confident and slipped through the gate and up the short lane.
"Pretty
girl," a raspy voice said, causing every muscle in Draco's body to tense.
Draco turned his head to Fenrir and sneered. "She's a Muggle," he
spat in a disgusted tone.
"You'd do well to remember that," Fenrir said in a strange low growl.
Draco hands dropped automatically to his pockets where his wand was tucked
away. He glanced towards the cottage to see Lacy close the door behind her.
"We're supposed to maintain an illusion," he snapped and began to
walk towards the Riddle House, giving Fenrir a wide berth. "It's my job to
interact with Muggles. I don't enjoy
it."
"Are you sure?" Fenrir said, fall into step with Draco on the other
side of the lane, though he seamed to be taking one long step for every two
Draco took, like a wolf stalking it's prey. "She looks tasty."
Draco paused, and his eyes flashed angrily at Fenrir. "The Muggles in this
village are off limits on the Dark Lord’s orders. You'd draw attention-"
"The Dark Lord’s orders?" Fenrir sneered. "I was under the
impression you only took orders from Snape. You're always off on his errand
when the Dark Lord calls."
"I was assigned to assist Snape-" Draco snapped back.
"Snape shields you from the Dark Lord, for his own purposes," Fenrir
growled and began closing the distance between them. "I would question his
motives more deeply, but he's in the Dark Lord's favor at the moment. But
perhaps Snape is simply as fond of children as I am."
"Stay away from me!" Draco hissed, pulling out his wand and taking a
few steps back. "I'm NOT a child!"
Fenrir laughed his harsh barking laugh and then his face went cold. "Don't
threaten me, boy. You haven't the courage to go through with it. I know what
you are. A coward, white and tender as a little lamb. Best to stay with your
sheep dog lest the wolves get you."
Draco steadied his breathing but did not lower his wand. "I don't think
the Dark Lord wants division amongst his followers. You risk his wrath if you
don't fear mine."
Fenrir laughed again. "The lamb's got teeth," he said. "Flat and
not very good for biting though." He snapped his jaws together in Draco's
direction and without another word bounded into the woods.
Draco slowly lowered his wand and headed "home".

Bella and Snape
apparated to the cellar, stirring up all the dust in the room and causing them
to sneeze a few times.
Snape gave Bella a scowl, and looked around the room. "Well, he's not
here." he drawled. "I'll be on my way then. I think you've disturbed
my evening enough for one day Bellatrix."
Bella gave him a scowl of her own and continued to tug on his arm.
"You know, your scowl isn't very intimidating when you're in a 15 year olds
body Bella." He sneered.
"Nor is yours Severus."
He glared at her for a moment, and then realized Draco was dressed up
differently the last time he saw him. How funny would it be to let Bella search
high and low around Knockturn Alley and continuously pass him by (assuming he
was even still in the area) because she didn't recognize him. He waited for his
time to apparate, but it was a good 15 minutes before Bella finally forgot to
keep hold of his arm.
Finally, Snape took his fortunate moment to apparate back to the Riddle house.
Sighing, he spent the next hour trying to transfigure himself back to normal.
Finally by 3 am he was looking back to his usual greasy bat self.
Bella let go of
Snapes arm for a second, and instantly he was gone.
"Damn!" She yelled as she got to the door that led to the main area
of Borgin and Burkes. Borgin knew that the only person who could apparate down
there was a Death Eater, and he treated them with upmost respect. She flung the
door open, and walked out onto the street.
Bella walked
through Knockturn Alley, and onto Diagon Alley. She thought to herself,
"Gosh, I haven't been here in ageeees". She walked past a picture of
herself, screaming her alliegance to the Dark Lord, and smiled. "If they
could see me know" She sniggered again as she past a ministry sign. Then
something caught her eye.
"You shouldn't be worried about You-Know-Who, you should be worried about
YOU-NO-POO, the constipation sensation thats gripping the nation." A
thought popped up in her mind, and she walked into the shop.
Bella walked out
of the shop, her pockets filled to the brim with stuff she had gotten off the
blood traitors. She sniggered again as she thought of the leprechaun gold she
had given them. "Losers" she whispered to herself as she walked into
Borgin and Burkes. The familiar drawl of Borgins voice filled the air.
"Good Day madam, how may I help you?" Bella looked at him sternly,
went over to the counter, amde sure nobody was around, and lifted up her left
sleeve.
"Just open the damn door Borgin." In a sweeping motion, the door was
open, and Bella was off, back to the Riddle House to cause lots of mischief.

Bellatrix walked
out of the Disguises room, looking like her normal self. "Why people apparate to the main hall
and waste time transfiguring themselves, I don't know."
She knew what she had to do, and fast. She ran around the house, asking all her
compatriots if they knew where Snape was. Once Fenrir assured her he had gone
to bed for the night, she ran to her room and began her chaos-filled plan.
"Accio
Severus Snapes Shampoo!" A bottle came whizzing towards her, and
she grabbed it quickly and filled it up with one of the blood traitors
products. She sent it away, and the bottle soon went flying back to its
original hiding place.
"Accio
Severus Snapes Conditioner!"Another bottle came flying towards her,
and yet again she filled it to the brim with a blood traitor product. She
banished it, and it went flying off.
Bella ran out of her chambers and towards the kitchen. She arrived there, and
14 house-elves came running towards her.
"Miss
Bella, how can we help?" The squeaky little voices chanted at her. She
puffed and panted, until she got her breath back.
"Ok, I want
you to put these pills in Severus Snapes food and drink. You can't tell him, or
contact him in any way to tell him you are doing this. You can tell nobody that
you are putting these pills in his food and drink. Is this clear?" 14
singsong voices chanted back at her
"Yes Miss
Bella, we understand." With a crack, the house-elves were off, and Bella
knew that the fun had just began.
