Luna is quiet but not afraid to speak in defense for things she believes. She's socially awkward, but she loves her small group of friends very dearly. Luna's new project is trying to put together a petition to rework if not eliminate Hogwarts current House system. She doesn't think that they should continue to let blood purity be a reason for sorting, if they continue sorting students at all.Family:
Luna lives with her father. Her mother died when she was nine. Her maternal grandparents are living in France. Luna usually visists them over the Christmas Holidays. Her Granmama has been trying to turn Luna into a proper witch for years but despairs of the effort. Her paternal grandparents died in the first war. She has an uncle on her fathers side who travels. He writes, but Luna rarely sees him. Her mother was an only child. Luna doesn't spend much time with her extended family anymore.Levicorpus History (beyond the Lexicon) :
Over the summer Luna discovered a magic mirror in her attic (one of her mother's things). It allows her to see anyone she names. She accidentally discovers Ginny and Draco's secret romance. She has agreed to keep their secret for the time being. She and Ginny use the mirror to check on Harry and Draco.Luna took on a large class load, so she spends most of her time doing homework. Her freetime is given to the D.A. She did make time to write an article to help Peeves who is disappearing limb by limb.
Peeves showed Luna a backdoor into the Chamber of Secrets. Luna in turn showed Harry the new part of the Chamber. Harry, Ron and Hermione discovered Tom, a memory of Tom Riddle's better self. Luna was horrified that Harry let Tom into his head and made him promise not to do it again.
On her birthday, Luna discovered that her grandmother had arranged a marriage for her to Theodore Nott. Not the kind to be bossed into important decisions, Luna is doing her best to ignore the arrangement. This is particularly important since she just started dating Harry.
