Personality:
She wants to be noticed. She needs to have attention on her at all times otherwise she gets upset. She likes forming alliances that will be in her favor, and being in her favor means that you have her watching you. She has ambitions--she wants to BE someone, and to her, to be someone, she has to be friends with powerful people. She acts sort of stupid sometimes, but it calculating and shrewd, and can be a force to be reckoned with. She is a wizard (no pun intended) at making people think what she wants them to think, and for a long time she focused on Neville to make fun of him--but was watching his strength underneath it all. She is making an allegiance with him and Potter because she sees it as the smartest move for herself, and the one that will save her skin, but deep down it is also to help Pansy. She is loyal to the death to her friends, and the fact that Pansy's parents have been turned on by Voldemort, the very person who is training Pansy for his army. She may be telling people it's for self-preservation, but really it's because she knows the right thing to do when she sees it.
Family:
Her mother, Soleil Greengrass, and her father, Jamison Greengrass, are Pureblood wizards, and hold social standing in very high regard. Her mother entertains guests no less than four times a week, and Daphne was never allowed to attend unless sons her age were also invited. She was raised by house-elves and as a result became bery rebellious at a very young age. Her mother ignored her, and her father lectures her weekly on the importance of being married off. To her family, they have suceeded in having a daughter who will marry into a rich Death Eater family and keep them in the comfort they have become accustomed to.
Levicorpus History (beyond the Lexicon) :
Well, Daphne has always been Pansy's best friend. She is one of the only other Pureblood girls in Slytherin (according to the Lexicon), and so Daphne was always close to Pansy, which pelased her parents. Daphne has always been told by her parents that her sole purpose in life is to attain marriage to a high standing pureblood wizard, helping him to carry on his family name, and was to be trained in the ways of being a Death Eater herself. But now she has decided, along with Pansy, to take the terms "slytherin cunning" to a new level, and is using her skills of manipulation to her advantage, working to become part of the side of the Light.
